About the Initiative
This program supports the 313+ Ancestors Speak Project Archive, an ongoing effort to preserve and elevate the stories of Elizabeth families through historical documentation and research.
Support for this program was provided by the New Jersey State Library through its REV250: Examining the Semiquincentennial initiative through Jersey Lens Grant.
Why This Matters
As Elizabeth approaches America’s 250th Anniversary, initiatives like this ensure that local voices, lineages, and lived experiences remain central to our city’s historical narrative.
