The Welcome Station grand opening brought together Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, Rev. Dr. Wanda M. Lundy, Jennifer Costa, Councilwoman-at-Large Patricia Perkins-Auguste, Council President/Councilman-at-Large Manny Grova, Union County Commissioner Stan Neron, Amy Fernandez, local historians Charles Shallcross and Bob Gula, the Curtis Lundy Quartet, members of the Elizabeth Fire Department, reenactors, community leaders, and newly minted Elizabeth Tour Ambassadors for a milestone celebration connected to GoElizabethNJ250. From the ribbon cutting and ceremonial ribbon signing to live music and community moments, the event marked a new chapter in Elizabeth’s visitor engagement, local storytelling, and preparation for America’s 250th anniversary.
